-Most common asphalt roofing shingles can be installed with inaccurate power nailers.  Metal roofing  is installed by hand using clips & fasteners, and fasteners through nailing flanges.

Listening to the Rain Song

-Metal roofing can have a slightly higher decibel reading than asphalt shingles during rain events.  if noise is an issue there are several ways we can dampen the noise in specific areas as needed.  Rain noise on a skylight window is louder than rain hitting a metal roof.

Oxford Shingle is coated with a baked on protective primer and a Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000® PVDF resin-based coating to provide a high quality finish. Kynar 500® and Hylar 5000® are trade names for polyvinylidene fluoride resin. The backs of the panels are finished with a protective clear coat. The finish includes reflective pigment to enhance the product’s energy efficiency.

12" wide panels fit almost any residential application.  Other standing seam products are much wider and are a true commercial application product.  Our primary focus is on residential applications.  We don't want your home looking like those chain restaurants with metal roofs.
